Seed Technology for Carex and Juncus Species of the Intermountain Region

Seed technology is being developed for common sedges (Carex spp.) and rushes (Juncus spp.) of the Intermountain Region to evaluate the feasibility of propagating container stock from seed as well as from vegetative material. Germination requirements vary among species. Pretreatments are being developed to enhance germination of common intermountain species.
