Three seedlots were run through the Westrup Brush Machine once with medium stiff brushes, and a coarse shell (size 10), at speed 11 to separate the seed from the stalk. The seeds fell through the bottom of the brush machine and out the chute end. Seeds from four seedlots were aspirated at 0.02 inches of water column to remove light trash. Large trash was removed with a 9.5/64" round hole screen and the smaller size trash was removed with 8/64" and 7/64" round hole screens. |
