| Propagule Processing: | METHOD OF CLEANING: Seed is removed from the pods using a Westrup Model LA-H laboratory brush machine with a #7 mantel. Speed is set at 2 and the gate is completely closed. Brush machine is run for approximately 2 minutes. Seed is cleaned from inert material using a multi-deck airscreen cleaner. The top screen is 4.75 mm and bottom screen is 2.10 mm. Air is set high enough to blow off chaff and unfilled or insect damaged seed. | ||
