General Distribution: Arid to semi-arid regions of western North America in cold-desert communities. California to Colorado and the Dakotas and north into Canada.
ProductType: Propagules (seeds, cutings, poles, etc.)
Propagule Collection: Pods grow low to the ground and must be hand collected.
Propagule Processing: We use a hammer-mill with a 4.75 mm (3/16 in) screen to remove the seed from the pods. The seed is then run through a multi-deck cleaner with 2.75 mm top screen and 1.4 mm bottom screen and light air to remove dust and chaff. There are approximately 442,000 seeds/kg (201,000 seeds/lb).
