Common Name: Clustered goldenweed
Species Code: PYRA
Ecotype: seeds were collected from Lane Co., Oregon near Eugene

Time To Grow: 0
Target Specifications: containerized plants to be used from small-scale seed increase.
Propagule Collection: Pappas and seeds are collected when it "puffs" out.
Propagule Processing: Seeds brushed in a lab-sized Westrup brush machine (using a sandpaper drum), this removed pappas and some hairs from the seed, it was then cleaned using a small air screen machine.
Growing Area Preparation/
Annual Practices for Perennial Crops:
Seeds were sown into cone-tainers filled with Sunshine #1 (a soil-less, peat-based media) amended with micro-nutrients (MIcromax) and a slow-release fertilizer (Osmocote 14-14-14). Flats of cone-tainers were placed in cooler for 120 days cold-moist stratification. Some seeds germinated whlie in the cooler, however, most of the germination occured after the seeds were moved to a greenhouse set at moderate temperatures (70degree days and 50 degree nights).
Other Comments: Plants grew slowly the first year and none of them flowered. Some flowered the second year. Full flowering occured on the third growing season.
