Propagule Processing: Five seedlots were run througth the Westrup Brush Machine once and a sixth seedlot was run three times at speed 11 to separate the seeds from the flowers. Medium stiff brushes and a coarse shell were used. The seed came out the chute end of the machine.
One seedlot was not aspirated but sticks were removed with a 9.5/64 inch round hole screen.
Three seedlots were aspirated at a vacuum of 0.02 inches of water column to remove light weight trash. Each of the seedlots received a different treatment after aspiration. Larger trash from the first of the three seedlots was removed with a 8.5/64 inch round hole screen, a 5.5/64 x 1/2 inch slotted screen, and a 4.5 x 1/2 inch slotted screen and fine material passed through a soil sieve number 0.0787.
The second out of three seedlots was cleaned with an indent cylinder size 24/64 inch holes to remove trash longer than the seeds. The third seedlot, which went through the brush machine 3 times, was cleaned with a 70/1000 inch round hole screen, a 6.5/64 inch round hole screen, and a soil sieve with measurement 0.0394.

The fifth seedlot was aspirated 3 times at 0.01 inches of water column to remove light weight trash. A 42/1000 inch slotted screen was then used.
The sixth seedlot was aspirated one time at 0.01 inches of water column followed by an 8.5/64 inch round hole screen to remove larger material.
