| Propagule Collection: | Moderate. This species holds onto its seeds when mature, but seeds are sometimes damaged by pests. Plants are tall and relatively easy to locate. Cut flower stalks from the plant and place in paper bags to dry. Seeds per pound: 2,300,000 | ||
| Propagule Processing: | Dry plant material is stationary combined to remove seed from the tiny flower panicles. Further cleaning is done with an air-screen machine to separate seed from any remaining plant material. High rates of purity are difficult to obtain for this species. In some seed lots it can be challenging to distinguish between filled and unfilled seed. | ||
| Pre-Planting Treatments: | Artemisia suksdorfii will germinate without a treatment prior to placement in a warm (75F) greenhouse, however, a 2 week treatment of cold/moist stratification may be beneficial. | ||
