Seeds were sown into cone-tainers filled with Sunshine #1 (a soil-less, peat-based media) amended with micro-nutrients (Micromax) and a slow-release fertilizer (Osmocote 14-14-14). Flats of cone-tainers were placed in an unheated greenhouse. | ||
Establishment Phase: | Seeds require 3 weeks (stratification)at temperatures around 40 degrees Fahrenheit before they will germinate, and they only germinate in cool temperatures. | ||
Other Comments: | Flowers on the first growing season. |
