The optimum loblolly, shortleaf, and slash pine seedling

The trend toward planting fewer seedlings per acre points up the need to concentrate on growing and planting optimum seedlings. This means that grading is more important than ever and, if the tree planter must pay extra for this service, the increased survival and growth of his plantation will pay him back immensely.
