Some Essentials of Machine Planting
If a planting machine opens up a slit deep enough and wide enough for a planter to place a tree, and closes it without air pockets, and if the slit is snugly closed with no more than a slight lip at the top the machine has done its job. The rest is the respon-sibility of the planter.
