Shoot Growth Response of Loblolly Pine, Sweetgum and Oat to Soil-Incorporated Diphenylether Herbicides

A greenhouse study was conducted to compare the relative phytotoxicity of soil incorporated bifenox [methyl 5-(2,4-dichloro-phenoxy)-2-nitrobenzoate], oxyfluorfen [2-chloro-1-(3-ethoxy-4-nitro-phenoxy)-4-(trifluoromethyl) benzene], and diclofop [2-[4-(2,4-dichloro-phenoxy)phenoxy] propanoic acid] on shoot growth of loblolly pine (Pinus taeda L.), sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua L.), and oat (Avena sativaL.).
