Horizontal Planting of Green Ash Cuttings On A Sharkey Clay Site

Horizontally planted green ash cuttings made from 1-0 seedlings sprouted and grew well, as did seedlings and vertically planted cuttings. Ten- and 14-inch cuttings planted 1 and 3 inches deep sprouted best. Two-inch-long cuttings and ones planted 6 inches deep performed unsatisfactorily. Additional Key Words: Fraxinus pennsylvanica .
