Containers were 18 cm (7 in) tall and 15 cm (6 in) diameter at top. The plants were dug up by hand with a shovel on December 25, 2006.
Propagule Processing: | Each transplant (including native soil) was placed in a 4-L container within 1 minute of removal from the ground and watered until the soil was moist. No trimming back of stems or any other treatment was done. Containers housing the transplants were placed outdoors on the southwest side of a building in the Las Vegas Valley and were watered periodically (every 2-5 days) to occasionally moisten soil. The water source was city of Las Vegas water. Transplants remained outdoors in containers at this storage site for 77 days after transplanting until survival was monitored.
Other Comments: | These transplants have subsequently been planted to revegetate a desert burn north of Goodsprings, Nevada, on BLM land.
