Growing Area Preparation/ Annual Practices for Perennial Crops: |
Seed is sown in the Fall in facultativesoil mix in Spencer-Lemaire rootrainers and stored in a sheltered area where it is exposed to outside winter temperatures. Trays are moved to the greenhouse in Spring. | ||
Establishment Phase: | Germination was fairly rapid and even over a 3-week period after the trays were moved to the greenhouse. Germination exceeded 60%. | ||

Active Growth Phase: | Plants remained in the greenhouse until true leaves were well established. | ||
