Resistance to pulsed current may indicate dormancy in tree seedlings
Nine deciduous and four coniferous species at two nurseries were monitored for variation in electricl resistance during fall 1977. Increasing resistance appeared to coincide with the onset of dormancy in most of the deciduous species. Less indicative patterns of resistance were noted in most of the conifers. A change in electrical resistance was first noted at the terminal bud and then at the root collar.
