Handling pine seedlings
Major findings of studies are presented on ways to maximize survival of pine seedlings in the nursery, in cold storage, in transit, as well as on the planting site. Culling of seedlings is discussed, together with optimum and detrimental storage temperatures, humidity, packaging, pruning, storage duration, planting dates, and related requirements for optimum success with pine seedlings.
