Forcing Cycles Speed Growth and Flowering in Western Red Lily (Lilium philadelphicum L.)

May, L. L. Native Plants Journal 8(1):11-12, 14, 16, 18. 2007.

The time required for growth and flowering of western red lily can be decreased by using accelerated growth cycles. Using 1 cycle, 1 year of growth can be achieved in 26 weeks. Using 2 cycles, growth, development, and blooming can be improved. Each cycle consists of 4 separate phases that represent the natural cycling Saskatchewan's climate.
