The 12th North American Forest Soils Conference is being held in Whitefish, MT at the Grouse Mountain Lodge. It will examine the role of forest soils in providing ecosystem services and is an opportunity for researchers, government officials, and forestry industry personnel to interact and learn about forest soils research and discuss where it will take us in the future. Conference sessions will feature keynote addresses; oral and poster presentations relevant to theme areas; area forest tours of National Forest and Forest Industry lands; a dinner banquet; and close with a two-day, post-conference field trip to observe impacted area soils, landforms, tribal nursery operations, and regional research projects.
