Greetings!

The Intertribal Nursery Council and Tribal Alliance for Pollinators will be convening this June (11-13) in Tulsa, OK, for a great meeting. We hope you can join us! We have a roster of speakers that will inspire and educate you.

The three day agenda will include informative presentations, tours, and a hands-on workshop. The meeting will also feature a keynote address from Sara Hill, Secretary of Natural Resources for the Cherokee Nation. Hill was appointed in 2015 as the Cherokee Nation’s first Secretary of Natural Resources, a cabinet position. Hill has championed reducing carbon emissions, helping the Cherokee Nation to create the state’s first tribal solar canopy car charging station and become the first tribal government in the U.S. to buy all-electric transit buses. She has also led efforts to remove nuclear waste and launched the Cherokee Fish and Wildlife Association. We’ll even have a special appearance by Myanabe, a beautiful Golden Eagle from the Citizen Potawatomi Eagle Sanctuary.

Field tours will include the Quapaw Nation's O-Gah-Pah greenhouses that supply their Downstream Casino Resort chefs with vegetables and herbs, as well providing the interior and exterior landscaping for the facility. The field trip will also visit the Eastern Shawnee hoop houses to learn more about their native plant and food sovereignty project led by Andrew Gourd.

As a bonus, this year's event will also include a private tour of the Native American art collection of Philbrook Museum with the collection's curator, followed by a tour of their world class gardens.

We have secured a special hotel rate for conference attendees at River Spirit Conference Resort for just $99 per night.
