Biography

I assist native plant nurseries throughout the southern region of the U.S, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, encouraging the production of healthy seedlings for outplanting on federal, state, tribal, and private lands. I received an undergraduate degree at Michigan Technological University in Applied Ecology and Environmental Sciences and a graduate degree from Colorado State University in Ecological Restoration. Before arriving in Georgia, I managed the USFS J.W. Toumey Nursery in Watersmeet, MI, served as the assistant manager at the USFS J. Herbert Stone Nursery in Central Point, OR, and oversaw greenhouse and nursery operations in Rocky Mountain National Park. Over the years, I have had amazing opportunities to grow native plant materials in a variety of greenhouse and nursery situations with various agencies and organizations, helping to achieve reforestation goals and supporting a unique variety of restoration projects on public lands across the U.S.
